Billing

How much do licenses for Mission Ready cost? What kind of licensing options are available?

In order to undertake the training you must purchase license to access Mission Ready, which is active for 12 months after purchase.

If you are purchasing a license for yourself, you should select the ‘individual license’ option from the payment menu.

If you are purchasing licenses on behalf of an organisation, you should select the ‘organisation license,’ option from the payment menu and select how many licenses you will need. The payer will be granted access to the Client Admin page so that your organisation’s licenses can be assigned to individual users. If the payer also requires access to the learning materials, s/he will be required to register as a user using one of the user licenses available to your organisation.

Bundle offers apply for organisations wishing to purchase licenses for a high number of their staff. Each staff will need their own license but a discounted price is offered for the purchase of license in certain multiples.

The following payment structure applies:

Band A

Full time student; unemployed individual funding themselves; not-for-profit organisation with an annual turnover of less than $3 million USD

Band B

Employed individual funding themselves; not-for-profit organisation with an annual turnover between $3 and $8 million USD

Band C

A not-for-profit organisation with an annual turnover of more than $8 million USD or an individual working for such an organisation

Band D

Commercial, governmental, intergovernmental and UN Agencies or an individual working for such an organisation

How can I pay for Mission Ready?

You can Pay Now with a credit or debit card through PayPal, or using your PayPal account. If you cannot access PayPal in your location, you can also pay instantly by calling RedR UK, during office hours (9am-5pm GMT) on: +44 (0)20 7840 6000. You can Pay Later by bank transfer. If you choose to Pay Later, you will receive your access link by email once your payment has cleared (this can take up to 14 days to process).

How can I get a copy of an invoice or receipt for my payment?

If you choose to pay by debit or credit card/through PayPal, you will receive an email confirmation of your payment once the payment has been processed. If you select the option to pay by bank transfer, you will be issued an invoice

What is your cancellation policy?

We unfortunately cannot accept any cancellations and do not offer refunds once the license(s) has been purchased. Once you have received the link(s) to your license(s), there is no way we can revoke it. Please make sure that you select the correct price band and number of licenses.

How secure is the payment system?

All payments are made through PayPal which offers a secure and encrypted payment service with leading anti-fraud technology to protect card payments. Payment by bank transfer should be organised by you/your bank. The security of these payments depends on the sending bank or transfer service provider.

What do I do if I don't receive my license immediately?

  1. Check your email address. We will send your license to the email address you provide at license registration stage. Check the junk/SPAM folder of the email you’ve provided in case it has been filtered out.
  2. Payment through PayPal or via Phone (+44 (0)20 7840 6000). Please check that your payment has been authorised. Please allow up to 10 minutes to receive the license at the email address that you provided. If your payment has cleared and you haven’t received your licence, please email: support@missionready.org.uk
  3. Payment by Bank TransferIf you choose to pay by bank transfer, we will need to receive your transfer within 7 days of your registration in order for you to then receive your license, to the email address provided at registration stage. You will not receive your license until funds have cleared in our account. If you still have not received your license 14 days after funds have left your account please call please email: support@missionready.org.uk

 How many times can I repeat each module? Can I repeat the full course?

Each license is valid for one year from the date that you activate your account. You will have access to all the learning materials (written content, audio and video files) for the duration of your license period even if you complete the course. Your license grants you three attempts of each interactive assessment. On completion of the final interactive assessment, you will have completed the course and you will receive your completion certificate.  You will only be able to repeat an interactive assessment if you have not attempted it three times.

 How do I repeate a course or module?

You will have access to all the learning materials (written content, audio and video files) for the duration of your license period even if you complete the course. If you wish to repeat a course and re-do all of the interactive scenarios, you will need to purchase a new license. Your license allows for three attempts of each interactive assessment. On completion of the third attempt, the interactive scenario will be locked and you will no longer be able to access it.

 What languages are the courses on Mission Ready offered in?

The courses are offered in English, French and Arabic. This includes fully translated written content in all three languages, as well as subtitled documentaries and scenarios.  Please note that some of the additional material links for further reading may only be available in English as they are external resources from other organisations that may not be available in multiple languages.

 How long is my license valid for?

The Mission Ready content is not available to download however there are links to additional learning material that may be downloaded.

Can I get a certificate upon completion of the course?

You will receive a certificate upon completing a user evaluation survey at the end of the course. Please note that the name on the certificate will be populated based on the full name you enter at account activation stage. You can edit your certificate name at any stage BEFORE course completion via your personal dashboard.  Certificate name changes cannot be made once the certificate has been issued.

How do I provide feedback on the content of Mission Ready?

At the end of the course, you will be asked to fill out an initial user evaluation survey where you can share your feedback on the course content and the Mission Ready platform. Why do you ask me for personal details at account activation stage? What do you do with my data?

We ask users for details so that we can analyse and monitor the sectors’ use of the tool. We (RedR UK and DTS) the creators of Mission Ready, as well as our donors (DFID and USAID), would like to know for example, how many women and how many men, undertake the training. We’d like to know the main operational locations where users are based as well as their average years of humanitarian experience.’ This will help us to improve the current system as well as better target new training courses developed under the Mission Ready Platform. All data will be stored for 24 months on the back-end of the system. We will never share your data with any other party. Your name will never be used in publicly shared results of the training.

Why do you ask for my line manager’s details?

If you have a line manager, at license registration stage, we request that you provide their contact details your line manager’s contact details (email address) so that they can be contacted 3 and 12 months after you have completed your training. This is in order to evaluate the impact of the training at an organisational level. .

If you do not have a line manager or do not want to provide their details this is OK. You will still be able to undertake the training.

Who is Mission Ready for?

Mission Ready is aimed at humanitarian workers currently based in, or who are likely to deploy to a humanitarian context/hostile environment. It is particularly aimed at hard to reach field based staff who would be unable to access other training events as a result of time pressures/costs or logistics. ‘Mission Ready: Field Security Management’ is aimed at all levels of field staff in a humanitarian response. It is not just for Security Managers, Advisors, Focal Points or Country Directors. The message of the Field Security Management Course is that security is everybody’s job and gives practical advice and examples of how all members of an organisation are responsible for ensuring their own and other staff member’s security. We would therefore encourage every staff member of an organisation responding to a humanitarian crisis to undertake this course.

I don’t work for a humanitarian NGO is there any point in undertaking this training?

Mission Ready is primarily, but not exclusively, aimed at humanitarians based in a humanitarian response/hostile environment. Other potential individuals or organisations that would benefit from Mission Ready could be:

  1. Private sector organisations operating in a humanitarian or hostile context
  2. Local government or development organisations operating or planning to operate in a humanitarian or hostile context
  3. Individuals not currently employed by a humanitarian organisation but planning to make the move to one

How do I change my username/password?

Your username is the email address that you confirmed at the account activation stage and can be changed via your dashboard. You can also change your password via the dashboard. If you have forgotten your password and require a password reset, individual license holders will need to email support@missionready.org.uk. If your license was provided by your organisation, you will need to contact the relevant person there.

My organisation provides my access to Mission Ready and I am trying to log in for the first time. What do I do?

Once your organisation has registered you for Mission Ready, you will receive an account activation email. Simply click the link and follow the on screen account activation instructions, you will set your password during account activation.

I forgot or never received my user name and/or password how can I get it?

If you paid for your own license, you will received an activation email either immediately after paying online or up to 14 days after your payment cleared, if you paid by bank transfer. Please check you junk mail/SPAM folder. Your email address is used as your username, please be sure to use an active email account, you will set your password on account activation. If you cannot find or never received your activation email, please contact support@misionready.org.uk

If your license was purchased by your organisation, please contact the relevant person there to see whether they have issued your license to the correct email address.

I submitted a request to reset my password, but I didn’t receive an email with instructions. What should I do?

The password reset email is sent to the registered email that you provided at purchase and/or account activation. Please make sure that you have checked the correct email account and that the Requested Password Reset email has not gone into your junk mail/SPAM folder.

The videos/scenarios will not play? How can I get them to play?

In order to play the videos and interactive content, make sure you have the following:

  • Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9+ or Safari
  • Windows 7+ or OS X+
  • Internet connection with 1+Mbps

The interactive scenarios are available in LowQ and HiQ. For HiQ, you should have an internet connection with minimum 10+Mbps. Make sure to close other tabs, browsers and programmes while streaming your content. It may also help to hardwire your Internet connection, instead of using a wireless network connection.

Headphones are also useful for listening to all the video content and audio that is available.

Can I participate in the course offline? What happens if my connection goes down? 

It is not possible to download Mission Ready courses or use the platform offline.  However, we have made the interactive training scenarios available in LowQ and HiQ. This should make the training accessible in areas with slow-medium internet speeds. For HiQ, you should have an internet connection with minimum 10+Mbps.

If you lose your internet connection in the middle of an assessment, then you will be able to restart the session. If you continually lose your connection then it means that your internet speed is not suitable to play the interactive scenarios. You will need to wait until you can establish a better connection.

ORGANISATIONS

Can I add or delete users from my organisation's roster?

You can add as many users as you have purchased licenses for via the Client Admin access page, simply click on the Users tab and add a user.  You can also delete a user but you cannot reassign or reuse a license that has already been activated. If you issue a license and the account is not activated or you wish to reassign the license before it is activated, then you will be able to do so through your Admin Access page.

I am buying Mission Ready on behalf of my organisation but don’t know the details of all the users? What should I do?

You only need a user’s name and email address to assign a license to them. They will receive an account activation email and will be required to fill in their own data. You may assign licenses when you are ready with the required info for each user. Licenses will only set to expire in 12 months once they have been activated.
